designer's statement
Candace Steiger is a garment designer and performance artist currently based in Baltimore. A recent graduate from the Maryland Institute College of Art, she is currently focused on launching a collection as co-designer for her eco-friendly label. With a background in fibers and textile, her work celebrates all that is natural and wonderful about women as she draws inspiration from history and the body.
