designer's statement
My intentions as a designer are to make clothes that apply to everyone. The underlying themes of my work are foreign musical subcultures and street style. I have always been attracted to things a bit outside the norm: manga, Japanese rock, transvestites, and cosplay. Much of the time, my designs are seen as "costumes." ...My favorite materials to use are solid-colored woven fabric, spandex, sheer black fabric, and paper.
