Sharon Selko
My name is Sharon Selko, and I have been a breast cancer survivor for four and a half years. I was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer when I was 39 years old. With the help of my supportive family, friends, and co-workers, I made it through numerous surgeries, chemo, and radiation. I was determined to continue being a “hands-on” mom to my children, who were then 3 and 6 years old, and work part-time as a pediatric physical therapist.
Before this event, I thought that I appreciated what I had; however, now I try to make every moment count and live life to its fullest. I feel I am a stronger woman, mother and wife, having successfully completed my journey.
